Smuggling involves bringing goods (or people) into Canada without declaration payment of lawful taxes and duties. With over 2,000 km of border between BC and the United States and with Vancouver’s reputation as a drug trafficking hub, the Federal Government has invested significant resources into prosecuting smuggling charges in this province.
